Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at admin@renewedhormones.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

No, we do not accept insurance. We are a cash pay clinic that accepts HSA and FSA cards.  Most insurance companies will not cover hormone replacement due to various reasons such as age, lab values, etc. They also dictate what products they will cover, which might not be the best options for you. Since you are more than a number, we want to give you the best experience we can.

This is individually determined, but most likely will be done as this information helps to paint your picture. Cash pay labs can be drawn at any LabCorp facility near you, but you are also more than welcome to use your insurance at the lab your prefer. Depending on your  plan, you may find it more cost effective to pay cash as your insurance may not cover certain labs.

Prescriptions will be sent to either a compounding pharmacy or the pharmacy of your choice as determined by your treatment plan. While most compounding pharmacies are cash pay, many times the cost is the same or even cheaper than what you would pay with your insurance. If you choose to use your insurance for prescriptions, please know that insurances do not always cover the medication that works best for you. If our office has to do a prior authorization for your prescription, there will be an additional service fee as this can be a time consuming process. Our goal is to make your treatment plan the most cost efficient for you!

We have you upload your card in case our provider determines you need a diagnostic exam done, such as a thyroid or pelvic ultrasound. Since you will most likely use your insurance for the exam, our office will need to get it approved with your plan prior to the procedure. We are also able to then put your insurance information on bloodwork for the lab. Insurance info is also needed in case we have to do a prior authorization for medications.

At ReNEWed Hormones we will see any adult over the age of 18 who may have a thyroid condition, women who may be going through perimenopause or menopause, and men who may be experiencing andropause.

Great question! Since hormones tend to overlap each other, it can be confusing to know which appointment type to choose.

If you are a female and you are perimenopause/menopause symptoms, then you want a HRT visit.

If you are a female and have both peri/menopause symptoms AND thyroid symptoms, choose the HRT visit as thyroid gets looked at with these visits.

If you ONLY have thyroid symptoms, then choose the THYROID visit.

If you are a male, you will always choose the TRT visit as everything gets looked at in these visits as well.
